We encourage all pet owners to have their pets get an oral checkup. Bacteria can build-up on teeth and around the gums causing not only infection and decay in the mouth area, but also in other organs. Bacteria travel from the mouth and then throughout the body to other organs, such as the heart. Tumors and cysts may also occur in the mouth and sinus regions. Digital x-rays as well as oral checkups and teeth cleaning can help detect or prevent many problems. Please schedule an appointment if your pet hasn't had a dental checkup within the last 6 months.
